Ask Me Anything: Part Two (Session Closed)

Hey, everyone. So, I did an Ask Me Anything session back in September and it turned out pretty well. I figured that it would be a good time to do it again. I also think I’m going to start doing this on a pretty regular basis; maybe once every other month. I’ve been sort of slacking on answering comments lately. But, here’s the thing: I just can’t do interpretations of people’s placements on here like I used to anymore. It’s kind of unfair (which is my Sun in the 7th talking) because I know people scroll down through certain posts and see old comments of me interpreting other people’s placements and then feel like, “Oh, yeah, I should ask something, too!”

But, actually, it’s really draining to do that all the time. And I’m learning how to set better boundaries for myself. Therefore, I feel like I should just do these Q & A’s on a bi-monthly basis or so. It will pretty much be the only time that I’ll be answering questions about people’s charts on here. Otherwise, I would rather save the interpreting for my clients’ readings, as well as for the blog articles. Still, I value you all for reading and I don’t want you to think I’m ignoring you. I just have to know when enough is enough.

So, like last time, feel free to ask whatever you want about your chart or about astrology, in general. Also, if you’re curious about something about me or my chart, you can ask, too. Even though I’m a Scorpio Moon/Midheaven, I’m actually not very guarded. I think having the Moon exactly on my Midheaven has made me okay with being relatively exposed because you connect to people that way. I still like to be really private but I’m also open enough to answer general personal questions about myself. I’m not paranoid about that. Just, you know, keep it within certain limits, if you do.

Okay, guys. The session is now closed. I'm ending it a bit earlier than I planned because I have some other stuff to tackle at the moment, so I don't have any more time to answer questions. But, it's been great chatting with you all and thanks to everyone who participated. :)

  1. Wayman! I really appreciate you doing this. You know I'm a huge fan of the blog. In my natal chart I have a moon saturn opposition and if I had to do away with one aspect it would be this one. So i'm wondering what aspect/placement would you do away with if you could?

    1. Hey yeah it's always good to hear from you. I have to say that I wouldn't trade a single placement. Even the painful ones are character building. Such a Capricorn Rising thing to say!

But my least fun placement has definitely been Saturn in the 12th ruling my chart. It's been totally confusing because it makes me approach life and say, "I want success!" Then, not get much success on a material level and feel like I have nothing and everyone else is successful. But, I am really understanding it nowadays. I have to measure my success on an internal, spiritual level so I can be egoless and help others find their purpose.

    1. I'm not too knowledgeable on the t-square but I'm sure it brings a lot of inner tension and insanity. Because of the planets involved it can make it difficult for you to be as assertive, fortunate, or successful as you'd like to be. So, you have to learn balance and moderation.

Know when to pursue your desires and when to be patient. Know when to take leaps of faith and when to play it safer. And know that even though times get hard, the world is not against you.

I have grand trine in my chart:

    saturn in aquarius in 4
    venus in gemini in 8
    moon in libra in 12

could you give some tips to get the best from it? thank you!

    1. Grand Trines are lovely but also excessive. They make you a big time example of that Element. You're very Airy and it's obvious. You're intellectual, bright, witty, and unpredictable. Just don't go to extremes and over-think or be too detached. Luckily you have these planets in Water houses which will make you more intuitive and sensitive. Trust those instincts!

  4. I don't have any questions, I just wanted you to know that you're my favorite astrology blog. You go so in depth in your articles and I encourage you to keep up the great work.

  5. Hi Wayman! It's great that you're doing this. This is also my favorite astrology blog. You are just so insightful! :)

I have a 7th house Sun like you, but it's in a stellium conjunct Jupiter, Mercury and Venus. Do you have other 7th house placements? I've been trying to understand my stellium better. Do you think 7th house people have trouble losing themselves in relationships? Because I think this is a theme with me. What are your thoughts on this?

I also wanted to ask you, because I recently read your Mars-Neptune article that says we're the actors (I have Mars trine Neptune). Do you also have a Mars-Neptune aspect? and which is it? And what other placements would you consider among the best for actors?

    1. Well, I just saw your chart so that answers my first question. :)

  6. Oh, and another question. I have 5 retrograde planets and I read that people with lots of retrogrades tend to be late bloomers which makes sense for me, and that if success comes, it's in the second half of life. How true do you think this is? Do you have any insights on working with retrograde planets?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Haha, okay. Well, to answer the latter part of the question, I've noticed a huge trend in that people with a strong Neptune/12th House and/or a strong Pluto/8th House usually make for excellent actors. It has a lot to do with the depth, complexity and the transformation both energies are capable of. Also, an angular Sun or strong Leo energy is great for charisma and presence.

I also don't see retrograde planets as that big of a deal, especially if they're outer planets. It just means that the energy is directed more inwardly. But, that can make you very resourceful when it comes to that planet because you're really developing it on your own. Maybe that development comes a bit later. But, I don't think it's that much of a hindrance.

    2. Cool, thanks! :) So, one last question, if you can get to it of course. What do you think about North Node conjunct Neptune in Capricorn in the 12th House?

      Delete
  7. Hi Wayman - would you associate 10th house planets with being a late bloomer? If they are as far away from your roots (IC) as possible, it seems like their influence only kicks in with conscious effort on your part, that they are qualities you have to consciously build in some way.

Ihave a stellium in the 10th house including venus and mars and only beginning to find the descriptions fitting my behaviour. I would consider myself a late bloomer in venus-mars things for example.

Thanks for doing this - KR

    1. Another way of putting it is if these qualities feel really unnatural and have to be 'earned' in some 10th house way.

      Delete
    2. I think you just answered your own question! :) Yes anything in the 10th or conjunct the Midheaven is something that needs to be worked hard for. What those planets represent are very important goals in your life. It can mean late blooming but its just that you can't really pursue until you're an adult or until you feel like one.

      Delete
    3. Also, because this is a really good question that got me thinking, I wouldn't exactly call 10th House planets unnatural. I believe they just challenge us because they are goals that we need to achieve by pulling ourselves out of what's more comfortable (10th House) for us. That's why we become so determined to be that planet.

      Delete
    4. Yeah I think the saturnine influences really weigh these planets down in a way. I've always thought of 10th house planets as a kind of blessing - that it gives you an edge in the public arena and makes you navigate it with ease + now how to play 10th house power games, savviness regarding social politics and the like.

But I guess it's more accurate to say that it is a hard-won edge that you refine over time because of the extra drive that these placements suggest?

Sorry if my questions are a bit pedantic, I'm just wondering how you would describe the dynamics in greater detail.

Is Venus inn 10th house more venus conjunct saturn than venus trine saturn then, if we agree on the saturnine influence of the 10th house on the planets inhabiting it?

      Delete
    5. No, that's okay. I think you really understand the 10th House because you're explaining it all for me.

I don't think of the 10th House in hugely Saturn terms, though. So, I don't exactly think that your 10th House Venus is a lot like Venus conjunct Saturn. There are similarities but I think, in the angular houses, the planet kind of takes over.

Basically, you are finding a lot of purpose through living out your Venus and your Mars in ways that are worth recognition. I wouldn't say 10th House planets are weighed down. I think anything involving Saturn, however, definitely is weighed down. It's difficult to achieve. But, in my opinion, 10th House planets aren't difficult. They're just focused, dedicated, and purposeful. They have a certain weight to them, like a gravitas, a maturity, or a feeling of gained experience (as you said). That's quite Saturn-like. But, I think actual Saturn aspects/placements are much more challenging because they involve overcoming fears, doubts, issues from the past, etc.

      Hope that explains it.

  8. Hey wayman ; does having a 10th house with no planets in it indicate u won't have a career ?

  9. Also I have a grand trine
    Sun in Libra 5th house
    Moon in Gemini 1st house
Saturn in Aquarius 9th house what does that indicate? Thanks

    1. Hey. I say this all the time: empty houses are just as important and they don't mean you won't have what that house stands for. That'd be pretty awful if an empty 10th meant no career and it would also mean that a lot more people would be without direction or a steady job. Haha, I just think people with planets in the 10th usually have a greater sense of destiny and a stronger vision of what we want to achieve. It makes you more ambitious and more eager to find your purpose in the world. People with an empty 10th just probably have to work more at carving out their destiny and really find their true purpose.

And that's funny because I just answered a question on a Grand Trine in Air. You're a really curious, humorous, objective, all-over-the-place person who's full of ideas. You also probably talk a lot. You're very much an embodiment of Air. You just might go overboard with these traits and not be able to get out of your head or may just be full of hot air. So, don't go to extremes. It's great that you have these planets in Fire houses. It's putting more passion behind those ideas and make you less cerebral and more heart-driven and spirited.

  11. Heya Wayman, I've got Saturn and Jupiter conj in Libra in the 12th. Does Saturn in the 12th always indicate spiritual success over material success? What does Jupiter hanging out there have to say?

    Thanks, excellent blog.

    1. Thank you. Yeah, I think it does. Any 12th House planet has to find satisfaction away from the world, in some sort of spiritual or artistic realm. So, Saturn in the 12th House people have to measure their success in a really internal way. In the end, 12th House planets are meant to transcend the self. So, when our cup is full enough because we've find our satisfaction in solitude or inside of ourselves, then we can just use that planet to help other people.

Jupiter is what you have to believe in. So, you need a very internalized belief system that will keep you compassionate, spiritually aware, and intuitive. It's a nice influence because it gives you a very deep faith that will balance out the melancholy and anxiety that comes with Saturn in the 12th.

    1. I think you have the opportunity to be highly successful. You're just going to be really terrified of failure and you probably don't pat yourself on the back as much as you could for what you've achieved. All you can see is what you haven't achieved. So, Saturn in the 10th probably will make it feel like success is taking a long time because of your perspective. If you take everything step by step, you'll see that every effective little move you make can be considered a success. Also, don't be afraid to try things out in the world and in your career. You can focus so much on the potential difficulties that you talk yourself out of it. So, be more positive.

    1. You're welcome. But, I wish people didn't think that empty houses meant doom or a lack of something. Haha, we all have them and it doesn't mean our lives will be less than in some way. It's very cool to have the North Node conjunct the Midheaven because they're both about your purpose. One is just more spiritual (NN) and one is more about what you do in the world (Midheaven). Your Capricorn NN being at such a late degree means that your soul truly yearns to be its own authority, to the point of getting a bit rebellious. This will allow you to pursue the life goals of your free-spirited Aquarius Midheaven. Whenever you do what you really want to do with your life, you align yourself with your higher self.

  14. Hi! I follow your blog and it's really good! :)
I was wondering what this could mean: I have a huge stellium in 8th house (sun, mercury, venus, vertex, pallas and the moon is on the cusp of 7th/8th house). My Natal Jupiter and part of fortune are conjunct (0° degrees) in 12th house. Right now transiting jupiter/chiron are conjunct my natal Chiron in 9th house and i had many premonitory dreams like never before (one every night). Could be because of those transits? (I have also transiting jupiter trine natal neptune in 2nd house)

    ReplyDelete

    1. Sorry it's *transiting jupiter/north node conjunct natal chiron in 9th
      Thank you very much!

      Delete
    2. Transiting Jupiter may be affecting your Neptune in that way. But, Jupiter passing through the 9th doesn't mean more vivid or psychic dreams. The 9th is Jupiter's home, so you are hopefully feeling like you have more options and possibilities. The sky is becoming the limit for you, if you maintain the right attitude. It's a good time to become inspired and maybe you can develop the kind of optimism needed to heal the wounds of your Chiron.

I don't work with the other asteroids like Vertex or Pallas. But,those other planets in your 8th House means that you're someone who is very passionate, perceptive, and layered. You're a storehouse of secrets, either your own or others'. And you express all these planets best when you're being intimate, sexually or emotionally. It's what makes these planets mysterious because people will never really "know" them until you're stripped bare, in some way.

  15. i am a Aquarius sun 6th house Taurus moon 9th house does that mean I'll also act like a Virgo sun an Sagittarius moon because my planets an in there houses ?

Also what does having a chart ruler mercury in 7th house mean ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, you'll be similar to a Virgo Sun and Sagittarius Moon. But, don't take that too literally. And Mercury in the 7th ruling the chart means that you live your life with an expectation of having great communication with others. You seek to influence people by being smart, witty, and interesting and you spend your life sort of collecting people who are also smart, witty, and interesting.

  16. Last question If chart ruler Mercury is in the 7th house sign of Pisces and conjunct Venus and Saturn what affect will that have ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Part two. :) The Pisces influence will make you a more sensitive communicator in life. The conjunction to Venus and Saturn means that you know how to charm with your speech and cooperate with others' ideas (Venus). You also know how to communicate in ways that are effective and will allow you to be taken seriously (Saturn). Yet, you're also seeking all of these qualities in others.

  17. How wondeful! I will ask something so as not to bore you.
    1. What is your take on reversed nodes? I have my North node in Capricorn in the 4th house. I have trouble understanding this placement. (my MC is in Gemini)
    2. Or reversed charts in general! My entire chart (sadly) is reversed in signs and houses. I have my Scorpio Moon in the 2nd house,my Venus in Taurus in the 8th etc...
    3. What is the "worst" placement in you chart- which you learned to own.
    4. What does Jupiter in the same sign as the rising mean? (Virgo)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. You're welcome. :)

      1. Reversed Nodes are very tricky. The line between your bad habits and your higher self is really thin. So, it's really easy to take two steps back without realizing it. Therefore, you have to work harder at being more spiritually aware. The good thing is that it's not that hard to be conscious of your North Node because your South Node is just like it. But, it's just the dark side of that energy.

      2. A reversed chart isn't a curse! It makes you a very contradictory person and you will frequently be heading in two different directions. But, if you embrace your contradictions and find a middle ground, you'll be okay.

      3. Eh, I don't think in terms of worst. I already said my Saturn in the 12th has been really difficult but rewarding. Being a Scorpio Moon conjunct Pluto has not always been a picnic, either. But, I'd never have any other Moon.

      4. That depends on if it's in the 1st, in the 12th, and/or conjunct the Rising sign. But, if there's a conjunction, you'll have a bigger-than-life demeanor because you're so consumed with this belief that you have to work very hard and get a lot of things done.

      Delete
    2. Thank you very much!
I would never have thought to understand revesed nodes in such a way. If one day you will want to post about the subject..."The dark side of your node".
As far as being a contradctionary person- I dont know. I guess we all have that battle betwwen our low and high self. I like to think of my Scorpio Moon as a good example as to where it can take you- I can either be protective and loyal- loving in silnce. Or be so hurt that I burn all the ones I love in the processec. Like you I would never give up my Scorpio Moon- the depth of emotion and life is almost feral in its beauty.
Mu Jupier is in the 12th house with no aspect to my rising. It is trine my moon though....I always thought that that+my Picses 7th house explained why I'm attracted to spirtual people (or those attracted to drugs and crime lol).

Anway sending good thing you way.

  20. Hi.. currently experiencing saturn return in saggitarius in the 9th house.. what can I expect during this period?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well, congratulations! This is a milestone for you. Even though you might not want to celebrate about it. :)

Saturn Return in Sagittarius and in the 9th is going to bring a very strong focus on your ideas of freedom, inspiration, and your moral code. People with this Saturn sign are really scared to be free because it's like you guys have tried that, at one point, and it brought nothing but consequences and hardship, in some way. And then, you also have this terrible feeling that in order to be an adult, you can't have fun anymore.

Since Saturn's also in the 9th, this is a belief that definitely weighs you down. So, I imagine that many opportunities are going to come into your life during this time that will give you a chance to be free, to be inspired, to really head in a meaningful direction. But, if you don't take those chances, you won't be happy. You'll just feel more and more stuck, like you aren't even living life anymore, and nothing will inspire you anymore.

You have to learn to free yourself from limiting beliefs right now. You also have to learn that even though being adult means having responsibilities, which bring limitations, it doesn't mean that you can't find freedom within those limits. If you heed the lessons of your Saturn Return, you'll be guided and directed toward freedom but with a strong sense of purpose and meaning.

  21. How would you describe a person with saturn, uranus, neptune and the sun in capricorn in the 7th house? Would it be a mistake to marry such a person before their saturn return?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It depends. Married Saturn in the 7th House people don't always end up divorced during their Saturn Return. But, it definitely does happen on a regular basis. It all has to do with the person's maturity level. If they haven't really become an adult before their Saturn Return, the marriage will be a disaster. If they have, the marriage can experience challenges but probably won't self-destruct. It'll only get stronger through the difficulties.

Is their Saturn conjunct their Sun? With them being a Capricorn, they may be mature and strong enough to handle marriage, even though they'll still have work to do. If there's a conjunction, that could be even truer.

  22. Hello there,
I always check your blog out whenever I have the chance.

I wanted to know if it would be possible to get your insight on Moon in Libra in the 2nd house square Saturn in Capricorn in the 4th? (The square is almost exact)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thank you! Moon square Saturn is tough because you feel such a need to be responsible but you put so much pressure on yourself that you often don't know if you can do it. Saturn in the 4th can bring a similar feeling, as you always think it's your duty to be the rock for your loved ones. And since your Moon is in Libra, you do it to please them and make them happy.

I would say that you have to work more on taking care of yourself and not bending over backwards for everyone. This is what's always stressing you out. Learning to say 'no' sometimes will take a lot of pressure off of you. Also, you have to learn that you need support and help, as well. If you were just a typical Libra Moon, you'd accept the help more easily. But, with the Moon square Saturn in the 4th in Capricorn, dependency can make you feel incompetent or childish. It's good that you're so strong but you don't have to try to be superhuman. Let the right people help you or take care of you, sometimes.

      Delete
    2. Thank you!
I actually do hate asking for help, even if I really need it!

I actually have two more questions. (I'm trying not to bombard you with too many lol)

1.So, I have Virgo rising with Mercury conjunct the ascendant and the in the 1st house. I also have Venus in Leo in the 11th square Pluto in Scorpio in the 2nd house. Both of these aspects create A LOT of energy.

If you had them, had would you use the energy constructively?

      2. The ruler of my ascendant is in the 1st house. But, my Sun in Virgo is in the 12th house.
Any advice with how to balance the two?

      Delete
    3. Oh, no problem! With the first question, that is a lot of energy. Your way of carrying yourself is going to be very restless and full of nervous energy, at times. You can over-think yourself to death in any given situation so remind yourself to relax. Leo Venus square Pluto can make it difficult for you to feel that true passion and depth that you want to feel in relationships. So, you may use drama to compensate. You can confuse drama for depth and have to learn to share that intensity with people in a more balanced ways.

With the second question, having the chart ruler in the 1st means that you play your given role in life with a lot of courage and initiative. You express that Virgo energy in a way that makes you appear to be a force to be reckoned with. Yet, the Sun in the 12th causes you to want to retreat into yourself, some way, or not have people really know you. Essentially, this placement means that very few people, if any, can truly know you. It may make you feel lonely but you should just use that to create an inner world of confidence, so you can help other people find their confidence.

I don't know if the two placements are unbalanced. I just think, with the chart ruler in the 1st, you make this impression of being "what you see is what you get"; a very direct, upfront person. But, with a 12th House Sun, people eventually find out that you're much more of a mystery than they first thought.

  23. Hi Wayman, in my natal chart I have a Venus conjunct Mars, Venus conjunct Pluto and Mars conjunct Pluto in the 1st House in Libra which is also my ascendant. I have a Pluto square Mars transit approaching next year. How do you think these aspects go together with the transit? I don't really know what to expect. And many thanks for your blog, so many posts have really struck a chord.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi. You're welcome. I would say that your value system (Venus) and your passions (Mars) are going to be highly tested and demanded to transform. But, the good thing about that is that you're already used to that since Pluto is natally conjunct Venus and Mars. So, a part of me thinks that you won't really feel it, since you live out Pluto strongly anyway. But, the square might bring an extra amount of intensity and it can really impact your general outlook, since the planets are in the 1st.

  24. Do you think aspects are stronger than placements or do you thing placements are stronger than aspects ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. If your question is landing in my brain correctly, I think you mean is, if it came to down to, say, Venus in the 8th or Venus-Pluto, which is stronger? I can't really say. The houses are where the planets act themselves out while the aspects are what skills the planets have. It's easy for them to overlap.

I will say, though, that in an angular house, the planet is going to dominate. Like a Venus in the 1st is not as similar as Venus in Aries as some people think, in my opinion. It's just that the person's view on life will be very Venus-like. They'll actually probably be much sweeter and more cooperative than a typical Aries Venus (which will vary a bit with the sign). Because, in angular houses, that planet almost becomes super-sized and takes over the house because anything that's angular is so powerful.

But, I'm not sure if that answered your question. :)

    1) Who is your favorite astrologer?
    2) How much time of your day you dedicate to study astrology?

    1. Well, alright then! :)

      1. I'd say my favorite written astrologer is Dana Gerhardt. I really love her writing. She has a whole series of articles on the site Astrodienst (some call it Astro) on the signs, houses, and planets that I highly recommend. She's someone who I feel, without me ever meeting her, helped elevate my understanding of astrology a lot.

My favorite video astrologer (because that's a big thing nowadays) would be Alyssa Sharpe. Typical answer, I know, but I've always loved her and have watched her for years. But, there are many great astrologers on YouTube.

      2) I have been spending a lot of time recently doing astrology, just because it's my job now. It used to be more of a hobby but between my blog posts, my readings, and the random researches I still do, it takes up a big part of my day.

  26. Hi Wayman! I'm very greatful to you for writing this blog. Some of your articles, like the one about gemini mc, explained a lot about roles I play just to keep things interesting in my everyday communication. Also made me appreciate Madonna more :) I have a question regarding my taurus moon on the 0,25' conjunct mercury and trine neptune. I read somewhere that it's similar to having moon in gemini when your mercury is conjunct moon. What do you think? Mercury is also my chart ruler. I was also wondering if zero degrees in a sign means that there is also some influence from the previous sign or not, in your opinion. Thank you for your time and effort. :)

    1. Haha. It irks me when people insist that Madonna is an Aquarius Rising, as I said in that article. She's such a Virgo Rising/Gemini MC. That chart makes perfect sense for her. She's not laidback and unpretentious enough to be an Aquarius Rising. I love it when people quote those two random interviews she gave about her chart as proof that she's not. I just think, 'And you believe her?' No offense but you Gemini Midheavens are tricksters. :)

Moon conjunct Mercury is similar to Moon in Gemini, so you're right about that. You may resonate with some of those descriptions. But, remember, that your Moon is still in Taurus. You're just a much more changeable, restless, curious Taurus Moon.

And I personally don't think in terms of sign cusps. I think zero degrees means a sign has just been "born." So, you will express that placement almost like a baby: very impulsively, very raw, with a total concern for yourself. So, your Taurus Moon is in this unformed state, in many ways, which can make it very easy to lapse into poor habits or judgments if you're not careful.

  27. Hi Wayman,
Thank you so much for your amazingly insightful writings; you're a truely talented astrologer.

I have a couple questions about my stellium in the 12th house. It includes the Moon, Mars, Saturn, and Pluto. What positive and negative affects does a Pluto conjunction have within a stellium? Additionally, Venus is square all the planets in my stellium. What positive and negative affects does that have? And lastly Pluto and Jupiter are conjunct my ascendent, what postive and negative affects does that have as well?

Again thank you immensely for your time, expertise, and generosity.

    1. Thank you! I know from personal experience that a 12th House stellium is never easy. I think 12th House planets are always really intense. That's not a word people always associate with planets in the 12th but it's very true, in my experience. Whatever is in this is can get really extreme, in positive and negative ways.

Pluto being in the mix of that conjunction only makes things more intense. A 12th House Pluto can get super-dark but may also be the most guilty of projection because all that darkness gets so uncomfortable. You're going to have to dive deep, deep down into your inner ocean, with this placement. Don't be scared of what you'll find because if you love yourself and take care of yourself, in spite of how insane you may feel, you'll eventually find a lot of gold.

Venus' square to all those planets can make it difficult for them to feel joyful. All these squares to Venus can cause you to become extremely self-indulgent, to make up for your lack of joy, then punish yourself harshly later (especially with Saturn or Pluto). So, let yourself experience pleasure without going too far with it. Know that you deserve to be happy, which will keep you from being too desperate for happiness.

Pluto being in the 12th conjunct the Ascendant means that you approach life with a hidden agenda of being powerful. You may seem unassuming and sweet, at very first glance, but people eventually pick up on this formidable presence. You're a lot like a plainclothes cop, intent on figuring out what's really going on and busting bad guys without blowing your cover. You will discover a lot of secrets this way and people won't know until it's too late.

Jupiter conjunct the Ascendant gives you enormous presence and a very positive vibe. I take it that Jupiter is in your 1st. So, you express this very straightforwardly and directly, while Pluto rising is a lot more subtle, since it's in the 12th. Right off the bat, you come off as good-humored, irrepressible, and upbeat.

    1. Is not that already a problem for you with Scorpio Rising? Haha. But, yes, that does sound about right. You're more attractive and magnetic to others than usual now. This transit's also affecting your outlook on life, so you may be able to take a better approach to relationships in some way. Maybe you will be feeling more confident or have a boost of self-esteem about your appearance. And I won't say that you'll meet your next significant other right now. But, maybe, you'll have some sort of romantic encounter that will really transform you, in a good way.

Also, Mars is going to be in Scorpio soon, right behind Venus, so it's going to be a real one-two punch for you.

  31. Greetings and High Salutations, Wayman! I'm a bit late to the party, but I am glad I finally showed up! I just finished reading your Moon-Pluto (square in my chart) and Sun-Pluto (conjunct in my chart) articles, and I feel like you know me. Not only that, but you are actually entertaining questions? How lucky am I? I do have a question. What can you tell me about kite formations? I have a grand water trine with Venus (ruler, Cancer, 3rd house), Mars (Pisces, 11th house), and Saturn (Scorpio, 7th house). My 1st house Taurus Moon opposes the Saturn and sextiles the Venus and Mars. Any insight you'd care to give would be greatly appreciated. I can't wait to read more!

    1. Hey, well, better late than never! :) But, I'm sorry to say that I really don't know much of anything about kites and I'd be talking out of my ass if I said I did. Haha, so I'm not sure! It goes to show that you never stop learning when it comes to astrology. You've just given me something new to study, so thanks.

But, I will say that, so I don't leave you empty-handed, that I do love your Grand Trine in Water. Having these signs in Air houses allows you to very imaginatively and intuitively come up with ideas and ways to connect with people. You know how to socialize in very sensitive ways. Moon opposite Saturn is going to be tough, so you have to find a balance between being self-sufficient and also allowing yourself to be vulnerable.

    1. Yeah, it will show that and/or that you may be in denial of those things. And you can let that anger build and build slowly until it becomes devastating. You just have to find some sort of release for that passion outside of yourself or outside of the regular world.

    2. My 12th house is Pisces, but a large portion of it is in Aries. I can relate to you man. All of this stuff manifests in my blind spot, but I've become aware of this, so I have more conscious awareness of it. That might help you.

You join forces with other people well and you kick ass at relationships because you get so much energy from putting your head together with someone else.

  35. If I have 3 planets in the 7th house will that give a strong libra influence on my chart ?

And if my moon is in the 9th house but conjunct the midheaven is my moon technically in the 10th house ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, you are constantly seeking balance and have strong expectations of your personal relationships, as well as how you should act in these relationships.

And your Moon is actually technically in the 9th. I don't like pushing planets to the next house when they're conjunct the angles because it takes away the nuance. A 9th House Moon on the Midheaven is slightly different than a 10th House Moon on the Midheaven. 9th House planets conjunct the Midheaven are more about the journey of achieving while 10th House planets conjunct the Midheaven can get a little too hung-up on the results.

I only "round up" when a planet is the same degree as the house cusp and just minutes behind. That's how my Moon is. It's at 8.05 degrees Scorpio and my Midheaven is 8.32 degrees Scorpio. At that point, it's in the 10th and I see it that way, even though some systems will put it at the very, very end of the 9th.

  36. Hello, and thank you for doing this for us. I've been waiting a long time for oportuniny like this..
My Sun is in Aq in 9th, ASC in Canser, conjunct Moon in 12th square Pluto in Libra. My Venus is in Capricorn in 6th oppisite ASC and the Moon and square Pluto.
I am 44 years old, twicely devorced ( the last one was 12 years ago) and been in two relationships whith a married man (as you mantioned in your article abot Venus-Pluto aspects which decribes me in total..)
My question is, will I ever find true love, the partner that suits me, that is good for me? What do I need to do? Is anything I could do to overcome this aspects? Is there any hope?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think anyone's birth chart can tell them if their love life will be hopeless or not. And I don't think anyone should feel like their love life is hopeless. Unfortunately, I think having a hard Venus-Pluto aspect can make you very fatalistic about your love life. So, don't think that way.

Many Venus-Pluto people can just feel like they need turbulence to be in love. They may thrive on dysfunction or pain in their partnerships, attracting that to them, especially in the case of the square or opposition. So, essentially, even though it feels like cruel fate is destroying your relationships, it's actually you that's doing it. If you just keep working hard at knowing that you deserve healthy love and peace of mind in your relationships, and that this peace doesn't have to cancel out the passion, you'll be better off and attract better relationships.

    2. Ok, I understand.. And can you, please tell me what does this opposition of Venus and Moon and Moon sq Pluto means?

  37. What does have Saturn in Aquarius in the 9th do for someone with a Capricorn stellium? I always feel like I'm a lot less conventional than what people say about Capricorn, even though I resonate with the rest of Capricorn's characteristics. Saturn is also exactly trine my chart ruler (Libra Moon in the 4th close to the fifth) and exactly square my Scorpio Pluto in the 5th.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well, I remember that you also have Venus conjunct Uranus. Is it conjunct your Sun and other planets in Capricorn? This is going to make you feel less conventional than the typical Capricorn.

But, Saturn in Aquarius in the 9th means that you have to find the freedom and inspiration to be different and even weird. So, that can have that effect, as well. But, you have to use this freedom in responsible ways, going through your journey with an awareness of the consequences. So, your innovations and eccentricities must be used with purpose in order for you to find your way. With Saturn trine Moon and square Pluto, you feel emotionally secure by being responsible but you struggle with control issues that bring you a lot of fear. So, by letting go of control, you'll become stronger.

    2. Awesome! And yep, I have a Venus-Mars-Sun-Mercury-Neptune-Uranus stellium, all in 7th house Capricorn. I think Uranus is a stronger influence in my chart than it seems at first glance. Thank you so much. Everything you said makes sense :)

  38. Hi! Firstly I really love your blog, I like how you take a bit different views on stuff and don't repeat same associations some placements might have.
There's a placement in my chart that I always have a bit trouble figuring out -- I have a Sun-Moon conjunction in Cancer 6th, but it opposes my Capricorn Asc. I have two other planets (Mercury & Venus) and NN in 7th too, so Dsc/7th is pretty important in my chart.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thank you! I think that means that the role you automatically play (Ascendant) is much different than who you really are (Sun) and what you really feel (Moon). You seem so capable and efficient and in command but you are very vulnerable and sensitive and caring underneath. That's true of all Capricorn Rising people, because of the Cancer Descendant, but that's even truer for you. So, people get to know someone very different when they get to know you. With these planets in the 6th, you're going to really work hard at giving others emotional support but will expect others to work just as hard.

With the 7th House/Descendant being so influenced, relationships are a really huge deal for you. But, don't look for your "other" so obsessively because it'll throw you off balance. The good thing is that you have a 7th House North Node so you're supposed to look for that special someone. But, again, in moderation.

I think your reflections were pretty spot on.

  40. So I have a stellium (which includes my Sun (which is also my chart ruler), Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn and Venus) all of which are in my 10th house which has the cusp on Aries. But – Plot twist! – All five of these planets are in Taurus, which is intercepted. How should I interpret this?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Your mission in life is to challenge yourself and prove that you're a force to be reckoned with. Yet, all the intercepted Taurus planets might be causing you to unconsciously take the easier way out, sometimes, or get stuck in a rut because of pride (Sun), logic (Mercury), excess (Jupiter), fear (Saturn) or vanity (Venus). This can prevent you from taking the risks you want. So, you have to remain aware of your need for patience and ease in your career path, as well. You can blaze trails in the world with your Aries Midheaven but do it in a slow and steady way.

    1. Your sense of self is being tested because you'll be coming up against difficulties that can shake your confidence. Your Pisces Sun just wants to merge and free flow but Saturn in Sagittarius is demanding that you develop strong, solid beliefs and not just be this chameleon all the time. Your ability to run from or deny reality may become borderline impossible now. But, yeah, aside from feeling limited, you should just see the pressure as a way to get stronger and more confident. You can come up against these limitations and difficulties and learn more about who you are from withstanding them and working through them.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I wouldn't consider your 7th House empty because the NN is there. The Nodes aren't planets exactly but they're still very important. With the North Node in the 7th, being in a strong partnership will help you find the truth of your soul and your greatest potential. But, if you don't work on your North Node, your 1st House South Node can keep you stuck in your self-focused ways and possibly fool you into thinking marriage and partnership don't matter to you but they do.

  50. What would it mean if your Chiron is in Gemini in the 9th house? What does Chiron signify in Astrology? If the Moon is about emotions and Sun is about self-awareness and etc, what is Chiron all about and how does it affect your natal chart?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Chiron is a woundedness that you have to heal. I think everyone feels it most strongly in childhood/adolescence and as an adult, it can haunt us until we deal with it. The Moon also shows emotional pain but Chiron is a more extreme example of it. There's good and bad to our Moon. But, I think Chiron is pure pain and sadness until we heal it and use it to our advantage.

So, a 9th House Chiron in Gemini means that you felt a deep pain surrounding communication and/or your intelligence, while growing up, that prevented you from feeling truly free. This can haunt you as an adult by making you feel like you're never going to have an adventurous life because you think you're not smart enough or communicative enough. It can be a source of sadness until you turn it around. You can heal your Chiron by knowing that you can share your thoughts and ideas and be supported and not ridiculed or humiliated. And this will expand your horizons, showing you that you are bright enough to find that freedom you want.

    3. Do you think being an Astrologer today is diffrenet what with the Internet and just where we are as a sociaty?

    1. Haha, well, at least you're honest!

I actually haven't made a connection to astrology and Myers Briggs. I've read a few things about it, here and there, but I think that's such a different way of classifying people that you can't really compare them.

I don't think I became very transit-aware until Saturn in Scorpio crossed my Moon and tortured my 10th House a while ago. Before then, I was kind of blissfully unaware of them. But, looking back on transits in the past, I can see the affect. I'm much more transit-conscious now. I'm loving Jupiter and North Node in Virgo conjunct my natal Venus and I'm very aware of how it's benefiting my life. At the same time, I don't want to be too controlled by the transits, either, because you just have to let life happen.

I definitely think it's different. I cannot imagine having to pull up birth charts without the Internet. Agh! I probably wouldn't do readings because that would give me too much anxiety and stress. Haha. I also think it's so much easier for astrologers to connect to clients now. Back in the day, you just had to look people up for consultations. Now, you can read astrologers' blogs or watch their YouTube videos and connect to them that way. So, yes, I think the Internet's very good for astrology.

    2. Thank you!
I asked about the Myers Briggs beacuase after reading your blog I just found so many paralelles it was crazy. For example Scorpio Moon fits the INFJ so well:"INFJs have uncanny insight into people and situations. They get "feelings" about things and intuitively understand them"...Just a thought.
So your Saturn Scorpio crossed your Scorpio Moon? God help lol. I agree that transits shouldnt come instead of free choice. I think you wrote somewhere about how career and 10 house things matter in your chart- a point of lessons.

When I was younger I met an old Astrologer and he had this papers for drawing up charts in his bag- was really amazing to see the old school way of doing it. I do wonder if we lose something with doing it on a computer. On the other hand The truth is- the Internet created a more indivudal Astrolgy- because maybe it helps Astrolgers focus on understanding the chart/person- instead of only the technincal details.

  52. Hello
a man that I am interested in has
    Taurus sun in 8th house
    Libra ascendant
Chart ruler venus at 29 taurus in 8th house
The only aspect that his venus makes is: Venus square Saturn

    Pluto conjunct north node
Pluto in libra in 1st conjunct ascendant
North Node in libra in 12th conjunct ascendant
So poor ascendant is stuck between Pluto and North Node(Rahu)
Also the same Pluto is opposite mercury
My guess is that since Pluto and NN are on an angle so they are very strong, prominent in his chart, as well as his venus
    He is definitely plutonian.

I was wondering about Pluto=ascendant= North Node interpretation
and his Venus’s bad condition as the chart ruler (and sun ruler)
And also advise on some psychological ‘remedies’ about venus and Pluto =asc=NN

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's great that he has Pluto and the Rising sign and the North Node all conjunct. It's really accelerating his spiritual growth because the Rising sign makes him more conscious of his true soul expression (NN) while Pluto urges him to transform deeply to get there. So, all in all, that's a pretty awesome stellium.

His Venus isn't in "bad" condition. It's just probably going to be more challenging for him to either let go and allow himself to get close to people and be loved or to dedicate to relationships without feeling stressed out or strictly limited. If he works through these inner frustrations, he can become a highly dedicated, substantial, dependable partner.
